Better off Dead

Better off Dead

Let me state my case
How I am better off dead.
Let me have my say,
Now please keep an open mind,
Then choose if I'm in error.

Not been gone too long.
My memories are quite fresh.
Sharp and carved in stone.
Vivid in every way,
Your smell, your laugh, your embrace.

When we meet again,
Would I recognize your face?
The tick-tock of time,
Heading towards the cold dark,
Of age and forgetfulness.

My claim is simple.
My memorizes will soon fade,
Your face will blur,
Join you now while my love shines?
Or a life far more obscure?
