Tenant of my Heart

Tenant of my Heart

A huge expanse lay before me,
Where this road leads is unknown.
Thanks to cruel twists of fate,
I must walk this path alone.
Things are not the same without you,
Your absence is still a big deal.
But hope that you're coming back,
Is mere fantasy and not real.
So long I have felt so guilty,
My happiness would be a crime.
But life goes on for the living,
I should join in while I have time.
It does not mean I'll forget you,
You'll always be top of my chart.
And rest assured your place is set,
In the foundations of my heart.
