Scared to Sleep

Scared to Sleep

I find no solace sleeping,
I am not friends with my bed.
In on the conspiracy,
To keep 'that' day in my head.

All my dreams are the same now,
They don't travel very far.
The tragic day you left us,
Back to the stuff of a star.

One memory that haunts me,
As it's on a loop you see,
The moment, you breathed your last,
That's the dark that awaits me.

Now longing for an exit,
Find an escape, from my dreams,
Finally, my prayer answered,
Waking up, to my own screams.
