Broken

Broken

Without your mighty keystone,
The bridge of my life will fall.
Each stone crashing to the ground,
Now just remnants on the floor.

Crushed, smashed and fractured,
Ruins of a time now past.
Yesterday an artifact,
As our future did not last.

How to pick up the pieces?
And where do I go from here?
All these questions haunting me,
But the answers are not clear.

Broken, smashed and splintered,
Beyond all reasoned repair.
Little motive to go on,
When I know you won't be there.
